Understand, I'm not saying there is no such thing as eternity, comprehensible or not. The question is whether existence and consciousness can exist after the present universe becomes so diffuse that complex structures are not possible. If existence is only physical (physics describes it) and consciousness simply arises from it, the answer is likely to be no. But if there are nonphysical realms - or physical realms outside this physical realm (other dimensions?), then the question remains wide open, if potentially unanswerable for mortals.

Hmmm. Maybe as mere mortals we simply can't grasp the concept of eternity. But what if we could. What would that feel like? Interesting questions. Like the character Evan, it's important to think beyond what we currently know. It opens up opportunity which were not previously available to us, allowing us to improve the quality of our life.
